Russian Saint George the Victorious Silver Coin

Saint George the Victorious silver coins were first issued on January 11, 2009. The obverse features the emblem of the Central Bank of Russia—a double-headed eagle with wings down—and is inscribed with "БАНК РОССИИ" (Bank of Russia), "ТРИ РУБЛЯ" (Three rubles), indications of the precious metal content and its fineness, and the year of issue followed by the mint mark. The reverse features an image of Saint George and the Dragon. The coin was designed and sculpted by A. V. Baklanov and minted at Saint Petersburg. (Source: Wikipedia.org)

2010 Year of Tiger Second Series




On 16 May 2010, Perth Mint announced that the 1 oz Gold Tiger bullion has reached its maximum mintage of 30,000.

Like the Year of Mouse and the Year of Ox, the Year of Tiger has 8 denominations for the Silver Series. It also has the same number of limited mintage for 1 oz Gilded, Coloured, Proof, 3-Coin Proof Set, 4-Coin Typeset and 1 kg Proof.

Golden Topaz Eye Inset is used in the 2010 Year of Tiger 1 kg Gemstone Edition.

In addition, Perth Mint issued 1,000 2 oz Coloured version as Perth ANDA Coin Show Special.

2010 American Buffalo Gold Coin

The US Mint started taking orders for 2010 American Buffalo Gold bullion coin and Gold Proof version on 22 April 2010 and 3 June 2010 respectively. The Proof version looks set to be priced above US$1,500 with gold spot price setting new record today.

Indeed, the Proof version is launched at US$1,510.

The 2010 Proof version price closed at US$1,760 - after being increased 5 times in multiples of US$50.

As of 15 May 2011, sales figures indicated 49,374 of 2010 American Buffalo Gold Proof Coins had been sold.
